This includes, for example, posture, gestures, or unconscious \"micro-gestures,\" as well as breathing and voice intonations. The manner in which things are expressed is just as important as what is being expressed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:15px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"justifier-texte\">Working on the \u00ab maintenant \u00bb (now) does not, of course, preclude addressing past events or concerns about the future, provided these are preoccupations that emerge spontaneously in the client, as they form part of their current experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:15px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"justifier-texte\"><strong>\u00ab&nbsp;Mieux vaut d\u2019abord s\u2019installer confortablement au rez-de-chauss\u00e9e de sa maison et am\u00e9nager sa salle de s\u00e9jour actuelle, avant d\u2019entreprendre un nettoyage exhaustif des d\u00e9chets accumul\u00e9s dans sa cave\u2026ce qui peut prendre de longues ann\u00e9e, comme chacun sait&nbsp;!&nbsp;\u00bb (Serge Ginger).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:40px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\">The awareness<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:40px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"justifier-texte\">The therapist invites the client to focus attention on their feelings and emotions. This allows them not to remain solely \"in their head,\" in the rational (left brain), but to reconnect also with their body, emotions, and imagination (right brain).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:40px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\">The Stance<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:40px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"justifier-texte\">The therapist does not remain fixed in the attitude of \"the one who knows.\" They share with their client their feelings and questioning. They enable the client to discover themselves through this therapeutic relationship. The client is not passive; they are a full partner, active in their own therapy. This fosters the assumption of responsibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:15px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"justifier-texte\"><strong>\u00ab&nbsp;C\u2019est moi qui conf\u00e8re un sens \u00e0 chaque acte de ma vie et si je d\u00e9sire changer, c\u2019est en restant moi-m\u00eame autrement et non un autre que moi-m\u00eame\u00bb (Arnold Beisser).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:40px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"justifier-texte\">This stance engages the psychotherapist as a person. They are an active participant in the situation. They discover alongside the client, express wonder, and accompany and support them in their uniqueness and difference. They are therefore deeply involved, but this involvement is controlled. It must benefit the client. The therapist always means what they say but does not say everything they think.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:15px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"justifier-texte\">This is indeed a co-constructed relationship:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:15px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"justifier-texte\"><strong>\u00ab&nbsp;cela se passe ainsi parce que c\u2019est toi, parce que c\u2019est moi, avec ce que chacun de nous induit dans l\u2019actualit\u00e9 de ce moment partag\u00e9&nbsp;\u00bb (Chantal Masquelier-Savatier)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:40px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\">Experimentation<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:40px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"justifier-texte\">The therapist places less emphasis on \"knowing why\" the client acts in a certain way and focuses instead on \"experimenting with how\" they might act differently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:15px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"justifier-texte\">The goal is to help the client identify their blocks and difficulties and invite them to experiment with new ways of functioning in pursuit of balance and well-being.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:40px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\">The process<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:40px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"justifier-texte\">The Gestalt therapist and their client are constantly engaged in a back-and-forth movement between present and past, between internal fantasies (ideas, thoughts, fears, doubts...) and external behaviors, between the nonverbal and speech, between emotion and the awareness connected to what is experienced here and now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:15px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"justifier-texte\">Furthermore, one of the important tenets of Gestalt therapy is that the human being is inseparable from their environment. They belong to the world that includes them. They influence their surroundings while simultaneously being influenced.
